The Theme of Emirati Women’s Day 2018 Announced

The central theme of Emirati Women’s Day 2018 revolved around the empowering journey of women under the guiding principles of Sheikh Zayed, encapsulated in the theme ‘Women on the Course of Zayed.’

Addressing a global audience on International Women’s Day, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima emphasized the primary objective of Emirati Women’s Day: to spotlight women’s achievements, acknowledging their dedication and resilience in pursuing their goals. These commendable efforts are seen as instrumental in enhancing women’s influence across various professional and technical domains, fostering confidence and sustained success.

Sheikha Fatima attributed the accomplishments of Emirati women to the visionary support provided by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding figure behind the nation’s progress. She also recognized the ongoing commitment of the current leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and supported by the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
